Our Fees
We aim to be both as transparent, and as flexible, as possible about our fees. Depending on the nature of the help that you need, we may be able to agree fixed fees, capped fees, pay-as-you-go, or a combination. Most often, clients want to work with us on fixed fees (which provide certainty), or hourly rates (which provide flexibility).
Fixed Fees
Wherever possible, we will offer a fixed lump sum for an agreed scope of work. That way, everyone knows what they are signing up for.
The specific fee we offer will depend on what you need. We will meet and discuss your situation before offering a fixed fee in writing.
For example, we offer:
a fixed fee for letters chasing late invoices. Click here for more details; and
a fixed fee adjudication package where the fee differs depending on the value of the claim:
a claim value less than £100,000 normally has a fixed fee of £7,500;
a claim value between £100,000 and £250,000 normally has a fixed fee of £10,000; and
a claim value above £250,000 is normally unsuited to a fixed fee, but we will discuss the claim with you and offer a fixed fee if possible.
Please note that Terms and Conditions apply to the fixed fee adjudication package.
Hourly Rates
Where we cannot offer a fixed fee, clients often wask that we charge for our time based on hourly rates.
The rates will differ depending on which of our lawyers does the work: our junior lawyers will charge less than our senior lawyers.
Which type of lawyer does the work will depend on the type of help you need. We will also try to ensure that senior lawyers delegate to more junior lawyers when appropriate, to avoid excessive fees.
Our hourly rates start from £85 for our most junior laywers.
We will always discuss and agree rates with you in advance of starting work, so that there are no nasty surprises. Where possible, we will give you an indication of how long specific items of work are likely to take, and therefore an estimate of total cost.
