When is the Final Date for Payment?

The final date for payment for each certificate under the JCT MWD 2016 contract is 14 days from the due date of each certificate (Clause 4.3)​

When is the Due Date for Payment?

The due date for an interim payment certificate under the JCT MWD 2016 contract is 7 days after the relevant Interim Valuation Date (Clause 4.3)​

The due date for the final payment is 28 days after either (1) the Contractor has supplied all necessary documentation for computation of the final payment, or (2) the date specified in the certificate under clause 2.12, whichever is later (Clause 4.8.1)​

When is the Interim Valuation Date?

The Interim Valuation Date is the date specified in the Contract Particulars. If no date is so stated, the first Interim Valuation Date is one month after the Works commencement date, and each subsequent interim valuation date is at monthly intervals thereafter (Clause 4.3)​

When is the Works Commencement Date?

The Works commencement date is the date specified in the Contract Particulars (Clause 2.3)​

If no date is so stated, it will be identified from the project's actual start date on-site.
